What is Psychological Counseling?
Counseling is a process aimed at helping participants better understand their own functioning and discover tools and internal resources to better manage the problems that arise in their lives.
Depending on the issue, counseling can be short-term or long-term. It is based on the unique relationship between the psychologist and the client, built on trust: a place where you can freely and confidentially discuss your problems.
Counseling is not only aimed at addressing problems but also at promoting personal development.
Currently, I offer 50-minute consultations via Google Meet or in-person in Budapest, near Nyugati Railway Station. The first session is known as the initial consultation, where I aim to gain as clear a picture as possible of your issue.
We will touch on various topics, and I will ask questions about your behavior, thoughts, and feelings.
This is a getting-to-know-you session: our first meeting, where we decide if we want to start working together. It is not where the change begins, but where the relationship starts.
It is important in this relationship that both parties feel comfortable asking questions or expressing if something feels off or uncomfortable, as the foundation of this relationship must be trust.
